Wrestler Benoit Had Croaker Doctor
The DEA has found that Chris Benoit's doctor prescribed a 10-month supply of anabolic steroids every three to four weeks between May 2006 and May 2007.
On June 25th, when he was found dead, he had more than 10 times the normal level of prescribed anabolic steroid in his body. He had hanged himself off his weight machine after strangling his wife and suffocating his son. Benoit also tested positive for Xanax and Hydrocodone. Benoit's wife, Nancy, tested positive for Xanax, hydrocodone and the painkiller hydromorphone. Son Daniel, age 7, had Xanax in his system,
Benoit's doctor and long-time friend, Dr. Phil Astin, was later charged with improperly dispensing painkillers and other drugs to patients other than the pro wrestler.
